Sick, I can’t remember seeing one. Switch ones too, peeps !?! rad.

I’m sure someone did one on the Barcelona theatre ledge.

Not the frontside out no, but the typical backside revert sort of over the ledge yeah. I went through a stage of learning loads of random curb tricks like that. I always liked doing frontside 180 fakie 5-0 reverts out both ways and shove out too

Always loved the way front shoves, backside nose grind, back side revs out looked, too. It’s got to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing tech tricks out.

PJ did a switch front shove switch backside nosegrind frontside revert out on a bench in the second Flip video.

I’ve only seen the trick you mentioned once @krillmonger. Done by Gottwig on Krooked’s Insta the other day:

yeah definitely and this was easy nearly 20 years ago haha (WHAAAAT?) So the height of that style trick

Oh YES, I’d really like to learn these some day.
Seem possible but committing to the first one is gonna be hard.

For some reason I’ve never been able to backside reeves out of a nose grind. Not actually tried one for years but I still believe there’s time, even at my age.

They are scary at first because if you turn slightly too early they drop sidewards and you can primo and slam blindly. I am desperate to get outside and find a new curb or make a small box and relearn all these. My confidence is the highest it’s been in over 10 years because I have been skating mini 1-2 times a week solidly

They’re not hard if you have decent backside nosegrinds.

Do you want to do quick bouncy ones à la Shier or long ones à la Jeron Wilson in Mouse?

Deeg has great frontside ones of those.

Holy shit, that looks so rad. Thanks Franc

Exactly the same as nose wheelie bs revert out, except you do the revert really early. That’s how it felt to me at least.

This must be the one I’m thinking of

You do backside ones similarly, you just do them backside.

@deegwaad If you’re scared of them and have no self-esteem, find a decent ledge, skate it on your own and do 20 backside 5050s with a nollie backside 180 out in a row. ILLEGAL, I know, even when done by Satva back in the day, but you’ll get comfortable with the 180 out and then you’ll just have to commit to a nosegrind and add that same revert. It’s gonna be easy.
Breaking down a ledge trick into several steps often helps me.

Yeah, that makes sense. I think previously I would come out too early and I’d either go into lipslide or noseblunt. I’d love to be able to do shier ones and Jeron ones. I think I’ve tried more shier ones but always seemed to just hang up on them and not come out.

That’s it, you have to get used to when you turn. I always aimed at the same spot on the ledge and got used to the body motion rather than guaging whether i’m at the end. It’s a trick where you can’t always see that you’re at the end so it’s more feel.
We need a curb/small ledge skategang sesh innit.

Hopefully my tip will help! It should if your problem was timing.

Such a great trick! Feels good and usually looks good too.

I just approached it in exactly the same way I would a backside nose bump, which I can do, but it just didn’t seem to work. I think I may have been approaching it at too much of an acute angle as it’s easier to aim, but ended up hitting it too hard and stopping dead.

Yeah, I think your wheel stopped you. Same angle as for a backside 5050.
