I get why you think you should or could do it but it’s still essentially not the correct thing to do. Taking things that are not yours, whoever it’s from is wrong. If you feel strongly against large corp then buy from smaller guys that need the help. You’re not helping anyone, making a statement or setting the world to rights by doing it, you’re just selfishly taking to please yourself.
I’m not 100%judging, it’s just how I feel globally about that sort of thing, do what you like innit.

Would never steal from an independent or business I supported. There’s not always an independent supermarket or local shop to do my shopping at also so I don’t know where the hell you live if there is for you haha.

I don’t think it matters who it’s from, the fact you think that taking stuff that is not yours to take is ok.
You may dissagree but I don’t think it’s any different to me thinking about this scenario.

Of course you can argue various comparison points but the bare bones of it, it’s the same thing.
Did the Saatchi gallery wrong you personally in any way? if so then you could argue justification. But if your argument is simply that they can afford to lose whatever is stolen then the motivation is governed by jealousy.

I grew up on the breadline not answering the door to debt collectors because my parents wanted to spoil us at Christmas. And when I mean spoil I mean give us a normal Christmas. My parents were good people but were young and could barely make ends meet so we were in debt all year round for most of my life.

Don’t get me wrong, I feel most corp cunts need a good kicking and deserve some karma slaps so I can understand your angle. But for me, I don’t really want to cross my moral boundaries to fuck with them. I just don’t shop as Tescos so they don’t get my money. If I saw him in the street and he acted like a cunt to me then i’d punch him and happily get charged for it, because that does not cross my moral threshold.

I would never steal from a person, unless Simon was a massive wanker who’s job or lifestyle effected others negatively because of his selfishness. I steal from Tesco because the people at the top make millions and their staff get treat like shit. It’s not jealousy at all, it’s saying fuck you to businesses that have unfair wages, who value profit over people, who promote austerity in our current situation. Charles saatchi is a famous domestic abuser, so yeah, I would steal his soap to make myself happy. You’re making it about ‘the self’ having the right over others. People work hard for their money, I’m not jealous or envious of that, I don’t like capitalism in the way in which the hardest workers get the lowest wages and fucked the most in society. So a treat now and then that doesn’t effect anyone at all but myself and those around me happiness doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all. Just because someone’s been in a fight before doesn’t mean they’re going to batter their grandma to death. Just because someone steals doesn’t mean they have no moral consciousness. Infact it’s the opposite.

You used to get I guess what you would call “professional shoplifters networks” coming into my old place of work, and robbing £1000’s of pounds worth of stuff at a time.
You also used to get drug addict shoplifters robbing a few £100’s worth at a time and flipping it in CEX or alike for 10% of its value.
When loss prevention is enough of an issue that it’s hindering on customer experience, which intern has an effect on your performance you despise shoplifting pretty quickly.

Just baffling that we’re talking about pinching a couple quids worth of stuff when doing your shopping and people are chatting all this breeeze about gnarly theft, is waxing a ledge comparable to bricking a car? You’re damaging public property and tax funded space so you obviously have no moral compass. That ledge cost could have contributed to the nhs in the same way that my free avocado contributes to a raise in insurance.

I think there are more effective ways to exploit others you feel are cunts that you don’t personally gain from.
