Doh! I wasn’t meaning to suggest that. There seemed to be a little criticism about various Mariano phases through the ages and I wanted to say (in a tipsy way) that I liked that part.
Except for the vest.

Oh right, I think it was the replying to me, instead of just referencing Pretty Sweet that caused the confusion (on my side, haha).
Thanks for suggesting RS, Pat sent a couple pairs of Ace trucks super nice of them. Stoked to upgrade a couple pairs of Enuffs and Fractures I see!
Nards done. A bit pinchy, but not too bad
yeaaaaaas good effort mate. you’ll be fine soon enough
not sure where to post this so i’ll start here
there used to be a henry moore sculpture on Millbank here -
opposite side of the river to where everyone thinks Mi6 is.
in the 80s/90s/00s the sculpture was surrounded by these concrete hexagons of varying heights which were awesome to skate. i wanna find a picture of it but cannot find one anywhere
any chance anyone has the faintest clue what i’m talking about?
oh.my.god.
i don’t know who you are but that is a strong first post! cheers mate. used to love skating those things
It had so many options. Lines for days. Big drops. Little quick manual pad things. I snapped a fair few decks doing flip tricks off the bigger blocks
The strongest of first posts.
Welcome
Never saw that photo before that’s wild. Angle on that grind would’ve required mad quick feet
if anyone has quick feet its Definitely Brady
Tom Knox
you can see what he grinds in the photo posted above of the fountain itself
the run up requires a little ollie, dropping down, a little ollie and then setting up for the noseblunt with just over a metre of space. there’s no real run off either that doesn’t involve similar gymnastics
years later the turned off the fountain and it was so much easier to skate everything
It’s one of those spots you look at and think ‘WOW WHAT A SPOT!’ and then you actually look for another 5 seconds and you think ‘OK WAIT…’ when it’s v difficult to skate
Seem to remember going there maybe 20 years ago and wondering why I never saw photos of the place and yeah, real hard to skate
i always wondered that too! it basically didn’t grind for shit. he must’ve waxed the hell out of that block for the nose blunt.
i got some weird wave of nostalgia the other day because deeyo posted a picture of the sculpture that replaced the henry moore and it brought back so many memories. i’d go there on a lunch break and have a skate, then go back after work and try and do something new.
Ah man we bought e-bikes last summer and we are so stoked on them. Pricey but well worth it.
What style e bikes have you guys bought ? I’m tempted too. Would love to drive less and zip up hills on a bike.
Just pedal harder. Would you buy an electric skateboard?
