Someone at my work has a KTM it’s a pedal assist up to 15mph. Has gps, a Bosch battery, it’s a nice bit of kit. He has had a few and also has a volt but he prefers the KTM. He does 10 miles each day to work
Perfect for any ride really. With that thing I can climb up mountains, commute, go for a mellow ride in the woods after work, go spot hunting in the countryside, go to a bar and drink more than I’d be allowed to if I was driving, go food shopping at the market… Getting this did improve my life.
Every time I get on it as soon as I start pedalling it’s (almost) like getting on my board, that little voice in me that screams yeahyeahYEAH. Proper serotonin booster.

Are limos classy? To me a limo means a bunch of steaming birds in pink cowboy hats screaming ABBA lyrics at passers by.

Can anyone offer me advice on living in Glasgow @buildafire this might be for you in particular.
My current job ends 31st July and I have been offered a 12-month position in Glasgow, which would mean uprooting myself from Nottingham after 12 years of living here. I have no other work lined up and have very few dependents.
Is Glasgow cheap to live? I know it’s massive, so where would be good areas to live? Also, what’s the weather like? Is the Loading Bay a good park for the winter months?

Loading Bay’s great, but you’ll struggle to find somewhere to rent. Students for next year’s intake who don’t have anywhere lined up are being told to quit. It’s a total shambles.
This thread on Reddit was created to try to help people find somewhere to live, and the general consensus is that they need to start looking outside the city, to places like Paisley or Cambuslang, and neither of those places are particularly good, because there’s nothing to do.
If you’re renting, you can get an idea of prices here, although the areas might not be clear. Basically you’d be looking at about £700 PCM for a one-bed in an area you’d actually want to live in, which would be Queen’s Park, Shawlands, Mount Florida, Battlefield and Cathcart.
It all depends massively on whether you’d be coming by yourself, how close you want to be to a shop and a pub, whether you’d be driving or not, what your budget is and how hard you are.
Be aware that public transport is expensive and unreliable, and getting a taxi is pretty hard. There’s a Low Emissions Zone coming in next month, so all the Hackneys that somehow made it through Covid will be really struggling. The majority of taxi drivers moved to food deliveries during lockdown, and the ones that are left generally don’t have the meter running, change stupid money, and only take cash.
I pay a mortgage and I rent a flat out, so I’m somewhat clued-up (I think) on the housing situation here, so fire over a DM anytime with anything specific.
Oh, it’s 17 degrees here today - the summers are nice, but the winters are long, dark and miserable. This local website can tell you whether it’s taps aff weather or not.
This is massively helpful dude. £700 PCM would be fine, could probably go a little higher if needs be. But the housing shortage sounds worrying. Will have a browse and see what’s out there. I do have a car.
If you’re thinking about it, start looking now. Flats get snapped up so quickly, and students for next year are already trying to get them.

does anyone know where this is? from Jake’s Crates 13 which mentions Hebden Bridge & Derby but assume it’s not Hebden as I don’t there’s any buildings like that there…?
