Yeah, particularly if I’m tired or ill if I start thinking about faces for instance then I can make them sort of fade in and then they’ll disappear and come back but a bit different each time.
I still remember what acid did to the shapes though and it was distinct from all that but really fascinating. Perfect geometric shapes all churning and animating. Felt utterly digital and not at all the sort of thing our analog animal brains should even be capable of.
Many years back, I was out at a techno night, on what I thought was a small amount of acid. Nothing crazy happened, although back at an afterparty, shapes were coming out of the speakers, reacting, twisting and turning to the 303 sounds in the tunes. They looked very similar to those Quavers snacks.
I also get the colours and blobs when my eyes are closed, but I always assumed it was due to the light filtering through the eyelids.

I use one for my TV work , it’s a Brother machine and you can’t go wrong with them . They last decades.
Got my daughter one for Christmas (she asked for it).
