Skateboarding has jumped the shark. “Tom Penny” just reposted a story from cultoftom on Instagram. So weird and incongruous with his legend.
He reposted Alex Moul, a good friend of his, reposting ‘Cult of Tom’ but with added Mouly.
Firstly, it’s Ian Deacon running the account, not Tom.
Secondly that’s not the point, it’s the equivalent of breaking the fourth wall… Tom was/is a legend because he doesn’t know he’s a legend.

so for some reason there’s a new park opening in northampton funded by mick george (a skip hire company) and sport england, in conjunction with the council and built by a bristol based company? our council is meant to be skint btw.
bearing in mind we’ve been trying to get the plaza extended for years given that was part of the original planning but they’ve just banged this up with apparently no consultation with anyone who skates or bmx’s in the town? no one’s heard a thing about it…
the area it’s being built in is still properly sketchy, i’m all for more skateparks but honestly can’t see the point in this haha. is this the modern version of the classic council sticking a few metal ramps in a field & calling it a skatepark?

Funding this is probably a condition on another planning application. Greasing the palms of the council. They are probably dumping toxic waste somewhere else in Northampton. Ps. Mick George the person is a proper grade A cunt.

Walked past Southbank today and there were some kids really ripping. No idea how anyone can actually land their tricks with that many people watching though
Just skate and pay no attention to onlookers.
Was always pretty easy to get wrapped up in my own little world when skating.
More important to me than anyone who bothered to watch.

All kinds of nonsense over the last several months. Smashing house up, rambling attacks on Brandon Novak and his parents, forceablly sectioned, wife seems to leave him every other week…I think a lot of it gets deleted…strange times sharing everything with 1.8million people you don’t know.

Was unsure about another Partridge series and even more so when I saw the first episode of This Time but they have gotten better and better each week.
Not quite up to the standard of Knowing Me or I’m Alan Partridge but decent enough.
The best bits by far are the Alan only segments. Everything else is pretty hit and miss, few good lines here and there.
The weekly interviews with the woman who obviously hates Alan are absolute shite and drag on far too long as do the Tim Key Twitter bits
Yes. Fun once and that was about it.
I was not keen on Simon much in Mid Morning Matters so it is a shame that he has been dragged into this series too. His segment, like the aforementioned, has a short shelf life.
