Yeah that’s the thing any normal person would know that our sentimental brains don’t like seeing things we love and have great attachment to being crushed and destroyed, haha. No matter the message behind it.

The weather made me realise I haven’t got enough shorts. What is everyone wearing? Recommendations?
Controversial maybe but Asda all the way for shorts for me.
I generally don’t shop there ever, for anything, but happened to over covid as their outdoor queue lines were quicker. Discovered their shorts and that was that.
Supermarket clothes shouldn’t be a thing, but Asda’s shorts game is fucking strong and very cheap.

Came home and the neighbours (late 50’s, kids grown up and moved out) are in their garden with the BBQ going, pissed up and playing a live Bon Jovi album at volume 11.
After each song finishes they’re clapping like they’re at the concert

Hybrid shorts are a game changer - light, quick dry, sportswear-like material with the right amount of stretch but cut and styled to look that bit more elegant or whatever. Usually available from the likes of Volcom, DC, Quiksilver, etc.
Otherwise try Volcom Frickin Modern chino shorts or DC Worker shorts.

I like Gramicci shorts with the built in belt, but the Butter clones are just as good. Buy what you can find on sale there should be loads of choice the clothing industry is still massively overproducing everything

For a good 80% of the time it’s Ralph Lauren swim shorts with the mesh cut out. I’m probably a medium but I wear large. Otherwise it’s J Crew swimmers/ boardies, (they have a little stretch in them), or Helas swim / sports shorts. Always worn with a slight sag but all of them pretty much have a 6’’ inseam so they’re nowhere near my knees. 7’’ is heading towards Bermuda territory and 5’’, get outta here, I’m not Stéphane Larance.

I never, ever skate in shorts but I’m one of those winter shorts people. Wear them much more than trousers now that I WFH 4 days a week.
All my shorts are these very heavy cotton loungy things from America. American Eagle and all that. My parents in law got me tons from everytime they went out there. The shops that smell nice.
Very, very comfy.

Busted out shorts for the first time in a while today. A pair of old Analog combat cut off things in grey, maybe 15 years old.
It is just too hot for jeans.

Other than wearing shoes for a couple of hours to skate in today, and on two occasions during the week to ride my bike in the woods, I’ve been barefoot since last Monday.
