That was the problem with them, we had them sent back to the shop because their cheap plastic air bubbles kept cracking .

I miss when shoes had air bubbles. Had a pair of Osiris once that had a full length air sole (not the D3). Couldn’t feel a thing but they were like walking on a cloud

Had some of these and the air bubble popped. So in my infinite 16 year old wisdom I decided to fill them with the glue from a hot glue gun.

Had those too, and the ‘air’ bubbles cracked within days. They didn’t even feel any different after that.

There was a tramp in Glasgow who lived on Sauchiehall Street who had a pair at the same time, which was quite weird. Maybe he won a comp at HSC.

These shoes were shocking for air bubbles cracking:

They also looked hideous.

I had the audio bam V1s and wore them through right to the air bubble

Adio Bams might have been my only skate shoe with an external air bubble too. Did the Kenny Andersons with the inch thick toe cap have them too? I’m pretty sure they popped.

I think I read on slap that one of Axions old riders (Guy or Gino?) said later on that the bubbles weren’t even inflated. Just a hollow space in the sole!

I’m other news my mum has just pinged me some cash for my birthday and it’s absolutely going on footwear.

There was definitely clear blocks of solid plastic masquerading as air bubbles in 90s skate shoes.

They could have done. Didn’t one have a little gel logo on?

Apparently not. Look at that toecap though.

I had 3 or 4 pairs of those, all fine

I had a similar pair they weren’t pro shoes but had a rubber toe similar to that in all black. Adios

Loved that shoe

I loved the brown suede pair I had. Skated quite a few different Adio shoes bitd. Ed Selago’s shoe and that one that Brian Brown always wore.

These used to be considered slim.

I remember having a pair of these when I’d only just started skating, and going to my best mate like “you need to try vulc shoes man, the feel is unreal”

Granted he was skating these at the time, so I was maybe partly right?

That skull colourway as well. Absolutely hanging. Oh to be a 14 year old emo again.

Those top ones probably had ‘slim’ in the name too.

Gazelle ADV’s look like everything I’ve ever wanted in a skate shoe
