Shoes

Was that before the roids or after ?

On the subject of clark’s shoes ( had the clarks hardwares as a kid for school ) it made me think of the wallabees which I still massively rate and used to have as a teenager .

Fuck me £120 start price ! They were £70 10 years ago and loads For £20 in the bargain bin 20 year ago.

How times have changed .

I had the same experience with Dr Marten I had umpteen pairs that I bought for 15/20 a pop back in my mosher years. The missus wanted a pair made in the UK, £170.

Jesus! That’s nuts . I remember paying £45 for my navy blue pair in 1992 (my grunge/metal years) the black ones were £35 .
But man £170?
So when you say made in the UK that means you can get cheaper authentic DM’s ? Made in India or China ?

Yeah, I dont remember when but they moved a lot of their production overseas and kept a skeleton crew to make prestige versions in the UK, how much different they are from those shipped in I can’t tell you but it made buying a pair that bit tedious as there seems to be a lot of people selling shipped pairs as prestige…
She found the same ones a bit cheaper but not by much.

Do Clarks still make those Cica trainers?

Had some with lights in and shit.

Bull boy shoes is what you need. Get the power on your feet.

Desert boots are banging, got a couple of pairs for work (if we ever go back to working in offices again)

Ill have a look at the non skate NBs, whats the fit like @buildafire @anon83623327? Im a 9 in Vans and 9.5 in adidas, they true to size?

The fit of NB’s has to be my main gripe with them, usually I find it’s a size or at least half a size up but it could be almost anything.

Chilling. Ive got piles of Half Cabs if I ever decide to I need to fall off a skateboard again…

NB 311 v2 are my chillers, they’re really light and comfy and look good with black jeans. Been through about 3 pairs because I like them and they’re cheap. The soles do wear flat and get a bit slippy though.

You’re gonna need to half size up in the skate ones. Not sure about the non skate ones. They’re just famously comfortable.

Not sure what to skate in next

Do skate NBs fit like the non skate ones? I have some 574s that fit like a fingerprint and I’m want some Tiagos.

Been on a bit of a DC binge recently as they’re always on sale somewhere. Been super impressed with the quality but the sizing is a bit all over the place. The Lynx and Lucoda supposedly have the same sole and my 9.5s are visibly quite different.

I asked baines a few weeks ago , if you’re a Nike 8, take an NB 8.5

So go one half size up.

ABP.

Got the Tiagos here and yep, you need to half size up in the skate ones.

I’m still a 7 in both. 6.5 in Adi.

I’m a size 8 and I’ve got a pair of numeric that are 8.5 UK and they feel like I’m wearing a pair of action man boots I’d try a full size up.
