Don’t Chuck taylors have a fine ‘fur’ on the soles for them to be classed as slippers.
Yep, that’s why I mentioned slippers. Jaffa Cakes for shoes.
Haha, thought I was the only one not owning dunks. I have a pair of blazers and janoskis but they just sit in the cupboard. At least I’ve worn the blazers
I liked the Ishod Dunks from a few years back, black gum slims IIRC.
Mainly worn half cab pros over the last decade, and skated in Lakais of varying quality. When I get to skate at the moment, DC Kalis - first DC’s since the ‘90’s.
Only time I have been tempted by dunks was watching Daniel Shimizu on that’s life.
Never owned any Nike skate shoes but have skated in some random nikes before.
He did suit them really well.
This is exactly how my etnies langstons where, had some fabric on the bottom and for the first week I was ice skating rather then skating, at first I thought maybe I bought some that were not intended for skating but they had a raised toe cap and where marketed as skating shoes, after a week or so it wore off and they skated great but damn there was a point they almost went in the trash can
They look like Low Cabs that Vans did about 15-20 years ago
That was twenty-six years ago now my dude.
Also 14/15 years ago, they were a cup/vulc hybrid, some kind of Scott Kane bro model too I think. Last pair of Vans I had.
Are you sure they were marketed as skate shoes? Just because that is exactly the shoe I am talking about - they had like a weird red fabric sole but I do remember them not being pushed as a skate shoe - moreso just a chiller.
I could well be wrong, though. Maybe that was just the impression I got?
Oh, completely missed those ones. Wasn’t really visiting TK Maxx around then.
I had some of these and quite liked them. Vans were still churning out some shit back then.
These look nice. Fuck actually shelling out for them though. I will not forgive you for those slip ons, axion.
They’re not bad. Can’t think of anyone else making shoes quite like that.
The Genesis was done well, it’s just all the others that look crap.
The existence of the other ones cancels this one out.
Honestly I think your right, I say that because I bought them from Zappos I believe and they don’t really know a skate shoe from a basketball shoe so they probably described them as a skate shoe but they were some shite at first after it wore off they skated fairly well with the exception of no padding at all
It was Zappos I found the picture from my review on there site
What made you think they’re designed for skating? The durable toe? Padded upper? Extra ankle support? Impact protection?
