Shoes

Is that full sock at the back? I bet they’re amazing in hot weather but can you imagine rocking them here? You’d have trench foot.

Edit: agree that it’s nice to see someone being a bit different. Particularly going tech but not conflating tech with chunk.

Or ‘Vans doing what Nike did a few years ago’.

The liner kind of looks like mankey old bandage.

Really liked the outgoing AVE’s, great to skate in but not that durable. These are nasty. Shitty sockliner and plastic wank at the back, no thanks.

Nike did lots of things first, does not mean everyone else has to stay in their lane.

Nice to see Vans doing an actual “off the wall” design to be honest. I like the front but not the back, personally.

Surely you’d need to wear them with socks anyway to prevent them from becoming a biohazard after an hour?

More meaning that they look like a Nike outlet shoe. Chasing Nike (and being years late with it) was never part of the Vans plans, but I guess the new CEO - the guy from the washing machine company - knows best.

That top part is more of an Ultraboost bite isn’t it?

Don’t really know what Nike shoes it looks like but it certainly looks odd.

That upper is the adidas version of Nike Flyknit, which Vans seem to have finally discovered how to do.

Looks like they’re inside out

They. Are. Fucking. Stinking.

Adidas attempted to put it on a Lucas and they gathered dust on a sale rail.

Got those for next to nothing and they’re not even sturdy enough for slippers.

The Koston shoe/socks were a massive flop too right?

There’s some sb dunks floating around with this same build, can’t remember exactly which ones they are though

Never caught on for me

Also remember hearing people cutting that stuff off not sure how well that worked out

Yes I remember! They had some weird forward lean.

I had these kostons, can’t remember why I sold them, think it was because it took about 20 mins to put them on. Even harder with an ankle brace.

The only successful sock skate shoe was probably the SLB’s and even then they were a bit of a faff.

Seeing £125 price tag for these. :grimacing:
