Ah that’s rad, big fan since she was on No 73.

They look okay.
The breakdancing ones are pretty cool too.

First one looks like a DC and isn’t that other one an Air Stab?

I was waiting for someone to say it lol

Very DC looking

You could have said it was the Nyjah 4 and I would have believed you.

Just listening to a paralympian on Radio 4 asking why Nike won’t let her buy a single shoe (given she has a blade due to amputation of one leg) similar to how Nike stores have been using mannequins with one leg/one blade to sell stuff in their stores.
She got denied obviously triggering a corporate statement from Nike. The paralympian is super cool, not chasing clout just making a point, and it makes Nike look a bit wack.
Lol.

I’d still probably wear the breakdancing ones, or buy and put in the loft more honestly.

Yeah I saw an article on that. Nike offered her like a 15% off discount on a pair :joy: Such a shitty move

I can’t get a discount on an eye test…yet with only one eye….:man_shrugging::smile:

Not sure how that’s relevant but I found that funny after my 5th beer last night.

I think I might have to give up on Vans, I think they’re the cause of my ankle problems. Got some Sk8 HI Skate which I thought might have some ankle support, seems they’re still quite “floppy” around there. Wore them yesterday, pretty much sitting at a desk all day and my ankles giving me gip - no such issue when wearing Etnies Joslins.

So after that moan, what’s the collective opinion on NB Numerics and support?

Which Numerics? I think the best for ankle support are the 440 highs. The new 440 V2s are slightly lower than the old version, maybe try both and if you prefer the old one stock up now!

If you need a vulc sole then there’s not much choice. The Frankie Villani shoe looks really skateable but it’s only a mid and I haven’t actually tried them.

Villanis are great, they’re as comfy as you’d expect from NB, despite looking as basic as they do.

Good to hear I want to try them.

Low-top so less ankle support maybe, but the Tom Knox shoe is starting to sell more for us right now, seems like once people try those they love them. Also the Tiago 1010 is a constant re-up with those who are into them. Loads of support on that shoe.

I think the 1010 is the perfect shoe. Worth saying that I’m usually a full size up in NB, but the Villanis are a bit truer to size than the rest. Depends how you want to wear them, but worth trying on first.

Yeah I love them but they just don’t fit me, they hurt my broke big toe :sob:

Feel like I need a complete change of shoe. Since starting skating I’ve pretty much exclusively worn Cons One Stars.

When they became weirdly scarce I switched over to Last Resort. Feel like the build quality of LR has been slipping and they’re not as durable, even though I still like the styling of the vm001 and 002.

Cup sole time?

+1 for the 1010. On my 3rd successive pair. Up 1/2 size but feels very secure on foot.

In a complete 180 from the 1010. I have just ordered 2 pairs of clear weathers that I found cheap as they were very good when I had them about 5 years. The sole held up far better than vans.

Tried last resorts cupsole and ended up having to return, they were incredibly heavy and felt super cheap
