Similar shoes, but the reissue Heritic is closer to that Heritic you posted than a Marana.

Also no to want to be a pedant but a shoe with a sock liner (eS Sal, DC AVE, etc) is very different from the upper being constructed from a single thread (eg Flyknits/those Lucas’ or the Vans AVE) albeit with a load of extra stuff stitched on top of that.

Grabbed a pair too as iirc the suede shoe was only out for something like one run? Then they were all synthetic as Jamie Thomas is vegan and was not happy with their release? Wasn’t really a fan of the synthetic version.
In the topic of sock liners After seeing him kill it at a fallen demo I bought a pair of the lesser seen Jack Curtin fallen shoe.
Worst shoe I’ve ever tried to skate by a country mile.

Admittedly not the nicest colour in hindsight
The sock liner wasn’t attached to the side or heel of the shoe in anyway. Every step was like wearing a trainer sock that had been stretched out by someone a few sizes bigger and ended up halfway down your foot.

I’ve had a couple of pairs of the first-generation Vans AVEs and I was happy with them. I’m sort of interested in the new AVE 2.0 but I want to see them in the flesh before committing.
Got these when Diamond shutdown and slashed all their prices. The sock liner meant you couldn’t slip on the slip ons.

Cut that flap off. You can do it with a razor and it looks far better after.
That flap is weird af
