I wish I’d got these now.
Sumner v2, was also really good.
I had some in black and gum.
Decent looking and skated really well.
I just remember him having a Union Jack on his shoe? Awful. Was that the first one?
These were the ones I had:
Selego V1: replace everything green with black. First ever skate shoes, exposing me for the young mosher I was in 2006
Kenny V2: really liked these, but in hindsight they were shite.
Dompierre V1: these were pretty nice actually, nice and slim cupsole, super comfy, except the tongue was absolutely fucking massive. Also the side and toe panels were nubuck and for some reason the texture of nubuck makes me shudder.
That’s the V3 innit? Seeing that reminds me how much I wanted the red colourway when I saw them on Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland (yes, really).
Not sure but I remember the shoe, memory jogged more with the image you have posted.
In black and gum alone, without the Brexit stamp, the v2 was a nice shoe.
These look weird in this picture but were dope on foot.
Only blue shoes I ever had apart from navy Accels and navy Dyrdeks back in the 90s.
Vans made a Crockett 2 in a similar blue which I considered getting but I ended not pulling the trigger as coordinating an outfit with shoes that are not black or white is getting harder every day for me.
That reminds me, the Rattray was pretty nice:
That’s the only one that gets a pass because it’s his national flag colour.
That rule doesn’t apply to the Sumner one though.
I had adio bam V1 in red and black. Got them from a ship called exist I think in Leeds. And later had a pair of all black adios that I really like, can’t remember the name. They had a rubber toe piece though and lasted well
Anyone know how Lakai fit compared to say eS or Vans?
Smaller and more uncomfortable.
I found some white leather Kenny V1’s and some brown Savier Rattrays in the shoe box the other day.
The bam v1 was a dope shoe
definition of cornish pastie
This thread has reminded me I had 3 pairs of Adio in a row, the Bam v1 (bright red, lasted forever), the Kenny v1 (great shoe) and the Sumner v1 (ordered full white, recieved blue and black which was probably for the best).
History might have blurred the memory but I think I can confidently say the Sumner v1 was the comfiest shoe I have ever worn.
Not many pics of it on google
