I’m not that bothered about SOTY. That said I couldn’t see blank space being in line for it. His recent footage has been looking more appealing than a lot of his output.
Same as almost everyone else, I’m rooting for Tom but expect it to go to Yuto, (I wouldn’t be mad at that), or Pedro.

Gifted Hater said on Sunday that a Yuto part is coming. It apparently appeared in Thrasher itself that Miles also has a part coming.
For me, neither Pedro nor Knox’s parts had that climatic, “he’s got it” feel to them (maybe no part really will). The SOTY goal is still wide open.

Miles Silvas is a sport trophy kid with a total bore of a personality (probably)
But somehow he has a really good style and he’s bonkers consistent. I like his skating.
I know exactly what you mean. I would never say this out loud I also feel the same way about Ishod. Both of them are too good and too clean.

When I think of Ishod it’s his Godspeed part skating to Otis Redding Dock of the Bay. It’s on another level to Miles Silvas who I also like btw.
The Tom Knox part sticks in my mind way more than the Pedro Delfino part. It’s a more unique quick-footed skating than that kind of hellride style.

Well I didn’t see us having a falling out before meeting IRL but I can’t say this Ishod revelation hasn’t rocked me a little.
I see the difference Ishod (an all time legend- destined to be remembered as one of the greatest skaters of the last 10 odd years) and miles (a journeyman, to be forgotten as soon as skateboarding moves onto its next incarnation) is that Ishod’s style is completely natural and honest while Miles is desperately trying to appear cool and collected, to make up for his complete lack of natural grace and unique phsyical traits.

One unrelated thing that has been bugging me. We haven’t yet had the SOTY trip edit for Tyshawn from last year, unless I’ve missed it. Thrasher flew them all to Oz.
Any point doing a U.K. SOTY thread? Surely it’s Tom?
Yeah, it seems likely he’d win it. Still, it might be nice to do a thread in order to recap who put out what. I usually put together the poll. Would people be keen for that again?
