Spot spotting

Can you go over the pole?

Yes. Decent run with a slight decline and enough space to carve in.

You want to try it?

Someone needs to do a Kalis tre over that pole

Just saw Finsbury Park has a new skatepark, which looks a lot of fun - nice, low impact obstacles with loads of space and a smooth floor.

I’m annoyed becuase I spent 3 years living there around 2014, skating that weird piece of crap bowl set up and would have loved this.

Can we get AVE over to West Smethwick Park?

oh shit, I’ve been meaning to look into West Smethwick park for ages, especially given the proximity to the Sandwell aquatics centre.

How rough is the floor? Is that in the middle of a playground?

Will be interesting to see if/how quickly the council remove it

That’s amazing. Quite a large scale fix. Would the council try and scrape all that out?

we’ll find out!

the main discussion in yesterdays session was which section to try and do next

oooh that’s lovely

At the top of the big stairs for some gnarly tough guy action.

Yeah someone might try and 50 all the way fro the top stairs to the bottome set

Actually, is it even one big wall?

Edit: just looked, it is but not as I thought and doesn’t reach bottom stairs.

With a little more care on the masking, they won’t even notice it.
Great work!

this is pretty much the agreed upon next step.

Wait a bit and see how the council react to the first one

Love it when shit like this is done proper. Great work

I don’t want to piss on your party but doesn’t improving the spot like that incite more skaters to hit it which might in turn get the building owners and security more angry thus skate proofing the entire spot?

Also, what is the legal defence if the owners see you modifying their property without permission? This spot diy is free for anyone to see on social media so isn’t there a risk? That one guy in California does a great job unlocking skatestopped spots but he also tries to hide his identity (although I’m sure it wouldn’t take long for detectives to figure out who he was).

From a skater’s perspective I think it’s rad!

YOLO

Let’s cross that bridge when we get to it shall we
