Stoked!

Tommy Tippy Milk Prep Machine is the best £90 I have ever spent in my life.

(If you’re going down the formula route).

Also no-one is saying bring your kid home from hospital in second hand faded clothes. Of course it should have new outfits and new stuff too. There are a lot of jaded parents in here that are years deep in the game now, haha. Try to remember the excitement and terrifying first days, weeks and months of being a new parent and wanting everything to be perfect.
I’m sure most of us ignored most of this advice at first too, haha.

Enjoy it and do what you want too but remember there is a wealth of perfectly good, hardly used second hand options out there that will make it a lot easier on the wallet in the long run. As yes, they do grow out of everything fast. Like everyone has said it’s a buyers market too, as there is so much stuff out there people want rid of.

We had a buyer for mother care who was a mate. Genuinely saved me thousands I reckon.

Second hand pram we did, other than that we got given so much shit from our mate

For most of the prams you can remove everything and put it through the washing machine. And you can get a class secondhand pram for peanuts- we gave ours away for free. You could then take the £1k you’re likely to drop on a new pram and spend it on a holiday.

How good is this?!?

On Friday at my lad’s kindergarten they are bringing a mobile sauna in. They get to have sauna, then play in snow, then go in the sauna again (with shower after).

Got to love that nordic lifestyle. Closest I got to this at my nursery school was getting to wash my hands with warm water.

Oh and they are making ice cream after. Not jealous at all.

Woke up to an email for an interview to a job.

AHH…ah yeah.

Posted this in the wrong thread initially. Possibly lack of coffee and over excitement and nerves. Heh.

Had the same problem with an Uppababy, perfect nick, think it cost about 900 quid, sat on Marketplace and Ebay for ages. Ended up giving it to a Ukrainian couple who came to Scotland with nothing after fleeing the Russian “operation”

I thought I had lost a pen drive containing important info from my last job, mainly created to help me with applying for other jobs, certifications etc.

I gave a cursory glance at a random plastic container not thinking much and I find this wee drive, plugs it in’t computer and bam! All the aforementioned gubbings were there.

Went to a mates house for a catch up. The dad used to skate in his teens but hasn’t for 20/30 odd years but still has abit of a casual interest and enjoys it on the periphery.

His 5 year old daughter asked for a board for Christmas and he jumped on on it.

Watching her natural aptitude for it was insane. She can tail drop off a bench and push around the house/ and tic tac around the kitchen island with no problem. Seems like crazy fast progress for a 5 year old. Was sick to watch

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you. @Mark for this new incarnation, @anonymity for N26. Without these places I wouldn’t have the knowledge for Discourse and starting a community in my new job.

Thanks all!

my old arse eyes needed new glasses, so I paid out £150 for varifocals because I need something when using the computer and my distance glasses are no good. They came yesterday adn i hate them, can’t find the focus point for the PC and when I do it’s so bloody small I instantly lose it again, walking round the house was a small nightmare of tripping over shit and seasickness.

The plus point is my old distance glasses might actually be the perfect strength for the PC based on distance to screen and whatnot…..send the new ones back, save £150 - i’ll give them another couple of days, but I can’t see them being a permanent fixture

Also, , at the barbers and they were talking about music, I asked what age one of the guys was, after he answered I said “aye? wait till you’re 50 like me” - none of them believed I was 50. I’m going to dine out on that for the next few weeks
