Shopping for Russian brides recently?
Maybe it saw my porn history?
Not a recommendation for a Spanky 30 second review then?
The google ads are pretty standard and targeted from your previous search history so go for it Hugo, she looks nice
The flat upstairs has a boiler problem and it’s leaking down the wall and into my boiler, so now I also have a boiler problem (not stoked). So I’ve been without hot water for 2 weeks while we try to figure out how to get upstairs sorted with the council - it’s a council tenant upstairs and they don’t seem to be there and the council keep refusing to force entry (not stoked).
But because we’ve been without hot water for 2 weeks we don’t have to pay the rent so I can save half a month’s rent this month (stoked) and now I’ve really got into cold showers. They’re fucking horrible but you feel awesome afterwards and it becomes a challenge. The first time I couldn’t even get my whole body under the shower without freaking out, the second time I managed to stay in for 30 seconds and now I can stay under for 2 mins with controlled breathing. Also I don’t spend the whole time I’m the shower obsessing over stupid shit I’ve said in the past or stressing about work/money etc. Totally pointless post but I recommend trying cold showers if you haven’t already.
When you get heating back, try a cold shower until you’re numb and then whack the heat up, the blood rushes into you it’s insane. Meant to be really good for recovery and achey body parts from skating
Will try, had a roll this evening and my knees are fucked!
That’s what i do for it, feels good at the time at least
Many elite-level athletes use ice baths to recover after a rugby match or heptathlon training or whatever. Even an outdoors swim after a skate will properly sort you out. Look into Wim Hof if you haven’t already, he’s a master at swimming in meltwater and ice-filled sea - his identical twin can’t do it, so its definitely something you can learn and build tolerance for. Definitely easier to do after sport/workout, but props on getting into it @Snurp, it’s not easy!
Went skating for the first time in 2+ years today and bloody loved it.
Didn’t realise how long it had been till I was driving to the skatepark. Still keeping relatively in the loop online and having the odd blast to the shop on the cruiser kept it ticking over but man that was fun today.
Before I “stopped” I was starting to not enjoy skating at all, had lost loads of tricks and confidence I’d had before due to not having time to skate as much and just was mental blocking everywhere. Today just relearning basic things was so rewarding and that mental block had gone. So stoked!
Good to hear!
That Insta clip was cool, this park you went to looked simple but super fun.
Real fun little place to get back into the swing of things.
Skated twice yesterday, the local park and a friend’s mini ramp, felt like I was 14 or something. The 45km cycling back and forth was a blast too.
Jesus. I wouldn’t have the energy to do that if it was simulated on the PlayStation.
Trying to push myself at the moment. I’ve ended up on late shifts (9-6), which means I have a little bit of time in the morning, so I’ve run 3 times and done 2 lots of yoga stretches, and then 2 evening skates. Next week is earlies again, so no time in the morning, but I’m stoked that I’ve used the time. It’s mentally and physically rewarding.
And I’ve started working on front bluntslides again.
No car, no choice! I cycle everywhere anyway, so the fitness is there.
Fair play, running really helps stamina for skating. May not help with the fs blunts, but helps you skate longer.
Stamina just means I have more tries at frontside blunt slides! I just feel like the more active I am, the easier it is to warm up to skating. Plus I’m skating with Leo Sharp, and he eats triathlons for breakfast, so I need to work out to keep up!
First skate on Wed night in ages. Made myself learn some new stuff, fell more than ever but was really fun. Stoked on skating at the mo, want to go outside at some point too.
I’m going to be a Dad again.
And I bought a caravan. Not to celebrate, just wanted one for UK holidays.
