I peaked when my first was about 2 and was no longer able to run by the time the second was born. It’s harder with kids but you can stay sharp if you can find 30-40 minutes a day to run.
I qualified to run London but I got a stress fracture just before so I never got to do it. I ran my PB at the Zurich Marathon; that was the biggest I took part in. I did the Dublin Half once. I tended to choose races that weren’t too big so I could go for decent times. Best marathon I ever did was the Great Langdale in the Lake District. It was too up and down to run fast but staggeringly beautiful.
It’s the first day opening so it’s rammo. Hopefully it will chill out over time. Best thing is scooter kids stay on the snake run and transition sections in the other areas.
