Not seen that before!

However, not to be difficult - the stuff riders have on podiums isn’t labelled water. Its regular cans but filled with water, apparently.

That water can is fucking smart, though. I’d never drink Monster, and at events those fridges get filled with a mix of energy drinks and random local water company. For Monster to do that while there is a live feed on the go…smart. Because I thought everyone was drinking energy drinks all w/e.

Sadly.

I think it’s pretty horrible and sly to be honest, seeing as the drinks are not exactly healthy. Kids are gonna think it’s normal to drink that much, and aaaallll the pro’s are doing it so they are going to do it too. Breeding a generation of liver fucked, green pissed shaking addicts.
Melodramatic? ha

I did a job for Redbull years ago and the contract had a clause saying I could have as much Redbull as I wanted on the job with an addendum saying basically “On medical advice you should only drink one can a day or on your own head be it”

When I worked at a skatepark (late 90’s to 2001/2) they had a Reb Bull sponsored event there.
I’d had Red Bull before but as it was free decided I’d drink 2 cans back to back before skating.
My hands went completely numb for about an hour.
Never gone near one since.

If I drink a can of energy drink I get the shakes so it’s definitely not in any of my pre-comp preparation

Had a Red Bull about 9 months ago, I have no idea why. Puked.

I can drink the stuff with no apparent ill effects but none of them are actually nice to drink. I don’t even really know anyone who does drink energy drinks. I often wonder who are these people drinking enough Red Bull/Monster to pay for all the marketing things they do.

Redbull and Monster always make me need to take a mean shit. And I don’t need that.

My brother in law lives on the stuff, and also referes to himself as a ‘gamer’. He also doesn’t have many teeth left.

Don’t think I have ever tried a Monster. Tried the odd rockstar just because the flavours sound crazy but only manage a quarter of the can and that has probably been only 3-4 times ever.
When Redbull first came out, must be 95-96ish? we used to travel to Birmingham to skate every weekend and there was one shop that had loads of Redbull and not many places stocked it yet and we used to drink a few in a row and we were buzzing. Soon crashed though, especially in the heat and put a stop to that.

Apart from the odd vodka red bull when drunk I don’t think I’ve ever actually had an energy drink. Not trying to act all high and mighty I was brought up on alcopops ffs.

Hoooooooch!

Hooch was all over the place here, giving it away. It was made here though so you could get a crate anytime you liked.
Anyone remember Red? looked like tomato juice but tasted of some weird berry concoction. Not nice to puke up. Drank loads of Smirnoff Mule too when I worked in the local nightclub.

Eh? Is that how it works. If I lived near the Gordon’s warehouse I could help myself? Why hasn’t anyone told me this?!

one night I was out drinking and necking anything and everything. I had one bottle of hooch and the next morning I woke up and puked up just the hooch on its own. like it had its own special compartment.

Well, you have to know someone but everyone knows someone that works at the brewery here.
It’s changed now, lots of automation but a while ago before Coors took over the brewery was full and workers got crazy allowances, allowed to go to the pub for dinner, come back drunk and work. Some people I knew, their parents who worked there for years had multiple rooms full of stacked booze they would just give away all the time.

I’m hindsight, going out and drinking 10 jäger bombs on a night out back in the day was probably not good for either my liver or my heart. That’s like 4 cans of redbull

Mate plays in a function band, doing covers at weddings and shit, and he moved to the Alps to do it every day. There’s always some stupid party going on for skiers and snowboarders.

Their rider was pints of Jaeger and Red Bull. They all drank it anyway, and obviously they can’t just be going to and from the bar during a show, so they’d get full pint glasses of Jaeger and Red Bull, because it was free. They only drank in the bars they played in anyway, so never had to pay for booze, but pints of Jaeger was the drummer’s normal drink. He was Portuguese and loved cocaine too, not that it seemed to make any difference to him, and he’d spend all his pay at the local brothel every time because the band flat and all his booze was free. He was good fun but not a good advert for energy drinks.

Why is it always the drummer…
