Mellow price…

Well, don’t install Big Sur if you expect your external monitor to keep working.

Or your printer/scanner.

I’m having the same issues.
I’ve been meaning to replace this printer for a decade, as it is kind of fucked. But for my one thing I print every 2 months, it seems silly.

Anybody going to get the SpaceX internet? In my area mid-2021, it says.

I watched at the satellites fly over my house but don’t know much about it.

Quick look and the beta will be available this year

Mbps seem low, I know that’s beta though

It gave me a quote

I have Hyperoptic and it’s £22 per month. Seems expensive?

Yeah I think so really especially when most optics now are like 500mbps. Unless I’m missing something massive

Just had an email about it as I signed for the beta.
89 quid a month and about 500 quid for the equipment though. Oof.

Just spotted your screenshot above…was about to do the same.

Router is pretty big too and if it’s not happy in your house, you have to buy a roof mount.

Seems like some daft bint in the US will claim this is just a front for another Jewish space laser.

Anyone lumped in for the new Mac Mini yet?

I’m keeping an eye on Adobe as once they launch the new version of Premiere compatible natively with the M1 chip, I might jump in at that point.

I’ve been running solely off of one Macbook Pro laptop for 5 years and I can’t help but feel like I’m killing it with heavier processing…

I have been eyeing one up since they launched, I have an ageing macbook, and was waiting for the the M1 chips to launch until I upgraded.
The problem is, I feel the 2nd gen will launch this year, so now I’m holding out for that.
Couple of things I have read.
The M1 machines natively only run one screen. I think you can get two working with the mini, and a lot of faffing about with dongles. Not sure if I would be comfortable with a workaround if I was doing critical stuff on it.
Also there have been reports of excessive SSD wear on the M1 models, not sure if this is only in specific cases, but something to be aware of.

Jeeeez…
Yeah, maybe you are right - 2nd gen one would be good to wait for.

For the last few days I’ve been unable to post videos on Insta.
Photos are fine, as are videos to stories, but not video to my main feed.

It’s only 12 seconds long, but I get this…

“We’ll try again once there’s a better connection”

…every time.

I’ve tried WiFi and 4G.

Anyone else seen and this and know why?

I want to post my blunt for TOTW FFS.

Edit: iPhone SE (the ‘old’ one), edited on my laptop.

Edit2: I managed to do it with my older Kindle. :man_shrugging:t3:

Seems my mid 2012 MacBook Pro battery has finally given up the ghost.

Does anyone have recommendations as to where to buy a new one, that is reliable?

Seen them on ifixit and a Duracell site of sorts, just wondering if anyone knows anywhere else they recommend themselves.

Just had a new PC delivered. The company who built it for me covered all the brackets for mounting hard drives with super sticky foam for reducing noise, meaning I can’t physically install the 7 hard drives I need to go in there without serious elbow grease/solvent abuse. FFS.

How thoughtful.

That’s a tremendous amount of pornography.
