Ok got you now, thank you for continuously clarifying
I can’t wait to see the costumes
I just can’t see past the elongated descender on the K. It stands out awkwardly as no other letters are altered in that way
I’m no fan of ‘official’ competitive sports - I have no interest whatsoever in football or athletics or whatever. But I think the Olympics means money will be spent on facilities and technological innovation that skaters can benefit from long after the Olympics are over.
Alex Sorgente is fucking rad. Seems to be his own worst enemy though apparently, can’t quite keep the partying under control sometimes.
Grabs his board twice in a comp run… Everyone else seems to grab about 5 times as much.
Fair enough if he’d rather party than train for the Olympics. I’m sure he started skating to have fun rather than to win.
Yeah totally. Just pointing out that he’s pretty gifted and incredible.
I find all the park series etc competitions a total guilty pleasure. Cory Juneau is another skater I really enjoy watching.
Oh man Cory Juneau is so fucking good. Floaty frontside flips out of the lip on vert? Yes please.
If anyone wants to follow the Skateboard GB journey…we now have a website https://www.skateboardgb.org/ that will have news updates and results to qualifiers that have taken place
For E.G Sky Brown came 5th at the 5* Event in Nanjing last week so is looking good to contest for one of the top 20 spots - https://www.skateboardgb.org/news/sky-brown-delivers-a-stunning-finish-in-olympic-qualifying-event
The next events where the team will skate will be World Champs September-
Park in Brazil for Hallford, Thackeray, Beckett and Brown
Street in Mexico for Decunha
Sigh
So boring and predictable that the first comment would be negative about Decunha… can we just get over it?!
At least he’s British!
Neverrrrr. Being negative about sporting people’s is our birthright
Half British.
Being only half the size of your average British man, that is to say.
Pretty sure ‘Decuna’ is a Portuguese name.
I was keen to travel to Tokyo. Practically impossible to get tickets unless you want to spend 15k on a package.
So grim.
He was on the BBC news this morning in a little piece on the forthcoming Olympics.
He and some others were skating a terrible makeshift skatepark outside BBC centre in the background.
The flatbar looked super sticky.
yeah saw that. the park looked sketch
What are his realistic chances of going now?
