Few too many wallies in the first half but kind of cool seeing him skate cutty, low impact spots. Fuck it, it’s cool seeing him skate full stop.

I think it hurts people about Koston because while we knew he was getting old like they all do, he still put out a gnarly part for Fully Flared and then straight after he was gone, pretty much as soon as he got on Nike he made it and then retired his brain, he had reached his end goal so no need to push for the next thing. He’s just skating for fun now, has no drive to do something potentially dangerous. Shame he has to maintain his income by gracing us with some personality to make up for his lack of skating effort. It’s desperation to keep the Nike cheque. I get it, he’s got bills, a life etc but for a legacy, if he even cares (and why would he) is being tarnished.
To me, I always imagined Koston to be a better fit for Nike in the early 00’s than now. Maybe because his status was bigger and the K3’s were Jordan Rip offs anyway.

Nike came into skating slightly too late to save Koston. He should sue them
I think that’s the silly part about sports brands signing big name veterans, it’s just a blatant cash in for them when their peak years are long gone. People don’t even seem to remember that part he filmed for Nike so all he’s achieved is releasing pro models and colourways, many of which have ended up on sale racks whereas K3’s were a massive seller and are what he’s wearing when you go and search for his best skating.
