my jaw drops every time i see tiago footy but fuck me i had to loop that crook up a few times

Not sure Tiago would consciously pay homage to Lucien. He’d have just been taken to a ledge spot and he skated it.

Weirdly enough RAD was big in Brazil in the 90’s, and Tiago is on record as being a huge fan of the Groms Tour.

Ah, the TV show with the snowboarder or whatever he was… Not the magazine.

yeah - and actually, it was on in more like the early 00’s not the 90’s. A pretty meteoric rise for Lucien from Christian Stevenson to Virgil Abloh.

Lucien and Palace not really doing many of those #tbt posts to the Grom Tour days, huh?

That whole idea is so lame anyway. Paying homage? It’s not ancient Greece where you make a blood sacrifice to Zeus.

I pay homage to Alan Gelfand and Rodney Mullen every time I skate.

What series of RAD was Lucien in? The only series I remember was the one with the guy who became really good as an adult, was on Vans Europe (someone help my memory is terrible).

Edit. It was Ross McGouran (thanks YouTube)

er, Ben, Kris, Ross, Lucien all became really good. Wasn’t there a kid called Ed who faded away?

OK - I was only having a giggle re: Tiago guys.

Harry Bray aka. The Kernow Penny was in one of them

Ed Clarke. From Cambridge.
He lives in London these days…He’s an electrician and still skates.
He’s still really good although he went from being sponsored to finding booze/girls and stopping overnight. I think hes only been skating a few years again, but kills it.

Wasn’t Madars Apse also in a series of RAD?

That was Tom Knox’s brother right?

He used to kill it at Y2SK8 in Peterborough

Wasn’t saying no one else got good, just Ross stuck in my head.

I forgot about Kris actually, i liked his skating

Wasn’t Tom Knox in the later series?

Yeah, I think so.

This the same kid who was on Una?
