What a compliment!
I did think the track was very reminiscent of Howard Cooke’s Man is the Bastard track on the Lord video too actually

Lord video was so good…
Still my favourite video by a fucking mile.
That was so gnarly.
Dude is underrated.
That was amazing!
Soz, but… This edit was sheer pain! Im also struggling to understand what relevance Slam has to UK skateboarding anymore.
Are you mental?
I can appreciate why you might not like it, but I would say Slam are still pretty relevant to the UK hahaa.
I would say that too. And it’s quite an understatement.
Do Slam still have a physical store?
Yeah 2. But CG one closed a while ago
Yeah I heard it was closed, is it closed for good then?
as far as I know yeah but bear in mind I haven’t been in UK or spoken to anyone from slam in 2.5 years
Yeah I don’t know either. I heard from a rep that they hadn’t reopened CG and I knew they had the warehouse but forgot about Brick Lane.
I wish some Route Ones would close instead.
It’s just an opinion man! I back Kev’s work always but couldn’t get with the track… and to me its simply such a random collab considering the work most of the other S.O.S in the UK put in compared to what Slam do these days.
The Covent Garden shop was so ill. The new one near the old location is very boutiquey. The Brick lane one is too but hey… Brick Lane. Whatever, Slam is rad.
Yeah, they have 2 still. CG closed as you say.
Outlet and Brick Lane are both open.
Yeah obviously the song was shit, but “random collab”? Not sure if trolling…
The longest-running - and by all accounts most respectable - shop in the UK, now in its 35th year, doing a collaboration with the longest-running US mag, now in its 40th year? Look at the Slam team, fucking hell.
Yer what a bunch of nobodies.
City of Rats was such a good video.
