Some nice stuff in that, not sure about the soundtrack though.
So fucking good that Shank edit, his fs nose slide pop out was amazing.
So good to see that amount of Stranger in 2022. And Cards to boot! Stoked.
Yeah that was seriously good all the way through
Just watched this. Never felt like a boomer that much.
So many black wheels, early grabs, varial flips… People would have been crucified for doing this not long ago. I suppose it’s cool that everything is legal these days, even if stuff like this doesn’t inspire me much.
Props to Casper for asking that girl if she was alright in the local language, highlight of the video for me. Nice to see Samir filmed a line too! Vince Touze’s board control and style are quite special.
BS 5.0 shove is a trick I can do and is therefore illegal and shouldn’t be allowed in a proper video.
Too many zoomy faces for my taste, though the fact that they used what sounded like Hum for the first track is pretty sick.
In a world where there is so much skate content, why do filmers that use the Panasonic cameras feel the need to imitate that style so much? It sucks.
You’d think that they would want their work to stand out and immediately recognisable. I’ve seen several videos just this week alone where it’s so hard to identify who filmed them solely on the footage alone.
I get that imitation is the biggest form of flattery but things have gone way too far now.
Hold Tight Henry knew what he was doing with those cameras.
98% of skateboarders always followed trends, all trends, I suppose it’s not surprising that filmers do the same? This said, I fully agree with you.
I had a the same set up as HTH, I wasn’t guilty of this haha.
Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s one of the newer Hum tracks, not sure it’s name but it’s cool to hear Hum in some edits recently.
Sorry, I don’t think that part came across in the way I intended.
I just meant that HTH used those cameras so well and framed everything so beautifully, compared to the zoom fingerers that we see now.
Iv always tried to frame stuff so you can see it all. Iv never liked overly zoomed shots from the get go personally.
I really liked that Shank edit, good tunes and I enjoyed it.
Didn’t even realise they had new stuff out. Will have a listen
This kid’s sick…(it’s probably just me but) he sort of has a touch of the Antonio Durao about him.
Just watched this. Asta is something else.
I have said this before, and I’ll say it again. For a company as big as Santa Cruz, why can’t they send their editors on a colour correction course. Their colours are so shockingly bad and none of the double angles match up. They had/have a filmer that had everything basically set flatter than LOG and left it that way… awful.
#rant
Yeah, Joe Perrin who made it has made some good shit but these SC edits are pretty dire.
Maybe he just has 40 things to edit a month…because that brand outputs a LOT.
Asta was dope, though. Some good clips throughout in that video.
If that’s the case, then they need to put out some job adverts!
It’s an AM video probably why.
