Ditto. I haven’t listened to Spiritulized since just after Laser Guided Melodes came out. Maybe their Glastonbury appearance around that time was the last time I saw them.

I don’t really listen to anything with lyrics anymore (except the occasional dip in to my hip hop favourites from bitd and a bit of opera now and again, lol). Classical, ambient, old New Age, some Japanese oddities and Vapor offshoots are my jam these days

This was great but yeah also not 100% with him on everything.

Almost feel as though you need more distance on the time period now to really assess things as there’s just more ‘stuff’ and noise overall

It’s a bookmark for me to read it later too
-there is a definite case for the lack of cultural scarcity leading to a lack of well-defined culture due to the immediacy of the modern age.

Alan Moore is great on this subject

Old footage but so what Ishod should be SOTY every year. He’s transcended skating as we know it to the point where he’s not really trying too hard, looking like he just mooches about without a care while casually putting down tricks which most of us can only dream about.

Skating’s GOAT for me anyway.

How long are those trips? 2 - 4 weeks?
Unbelievable he can put that quality AND quantity of footage out in such a short space of time.

With the ender session do you reckon he did a tailslide fakie on the hubba to warm up and they just didn’t bother to include it, or went straight in for the 180 switch crook on a marble 13 set hubba?

Hard to believe there isn’t a solid gold statue of him in new jersery

I didn’t realise Roger were still going.

I think they stopped maybe just under ten years ago and restarted a couple of years back. Mad that Dwight from Walking Dead has his name on a board haha

Rad skating from some Danish youth with added Jesus Fernandez.

I kind of expected this to go the same way as that Dill in Tokyo adidas thing, and have no skating in it, but I was wrong. It’s a chill little edit. Most enjoyable.

Incidentally, I thought that Dill shoe ad was pretty cool. Still not buying those patent shoes though.

Not buying this guy’s shoe either :joy:

Lots of great skating in this. I like the sloppy, slacker vibe. Wonder if this is the future direction for Vans videos and they’re moving away from the bigger-productions like Spinning Away etc.

That’s why I always quote everything I reply to. I’ve been made to look like that dude talking to himself once too often, haha.

That was enjoyable.
I think Vans have just realised that the ‘long form insta’ format is best suited to 2023.

Rowan shoe is a bit 2004 though

Saw them in Note yesterday.
Fucking rancid

Phew.
Thought I’d lost it

Sick edit from London and somewhere down South of a bunch of younger dudes I hadn’t heard of.
