I tend to use a knife or Stanley to remove any bits left over from clipping the sprue. Then I usually prime with a rattle can but you can also brush prime them. If you use the black in the set you’ve got that will work fine. The brush you get in that set isn’t the greatest either but just try and clean it when finished and remember to thin your paints.
This.
Although I never remember to thin my paints…
Whilst the human sat in on a conference call, the Sister Novitiates prepared an assault on infected Brood Brothers.
“Feel the Emperor’s light burn bright you unpainted xenos scum!”
Resin printer next?

Me it’s painting… A few units stuck in basecoat purgatory.
Pulled the trigger and paid for a vanguard tactics beginners course to try and properly understand how to play so that I can actually play more. My son keeps beating so something must be wrong ![]()
Yesterdays efforts in trying.
Hate the yellow colour scheme, but was just trying out the paint to see how it went. Drowned it in far too much wash. Pretty pleased with the green dude.
Absolutely beat from skating yesterday - gunna work on the tanks this afternoon
Found this Purestrain Genestealer all on his own in a combat patrol box unpainted. Now he can go rip off terminator heads with pride and colour.
Fair play to you guys painting these things, it looks mega difficult.
I’m pretty rubbish at painting but it’s a nice hobby and frankly the models always look better with some colour.
Been productive this morning and finally finished my daughter’s wolf pack. She did the big boss. I did the rest.
This is one from a film called Requiem For Vengeance which is on Netflix and isn’t bad
Current gunpla and Warhammer projects. The gundam is all airbrushed with lacquers and the the Warhammer all hand painted. For some reason I have no interest in airbrushing Warhammer stuff.
Nah, you have to be semi decent or they’d just look Pollocked ![]()
