Incredible game, incredible tournament from start to finish. 2 Chinese world champions in a row surely marks a tidal shift? Been threatening to happen for a long while.
It is a thing but it hasn’t been as tidal as some have made out maybe?. Two players out of 8 in the quarters and one in the semis. For how huge it is in China it seems about right.

Right now it seems that they pretty much need to come here to get to that standard, but there’s probably miles more players with the raw talent in China who don’t get that opportunity. Got to think that will change over time though.
Totally. Most of the top Chinese players live in Sheffield when they’re not on tour. Bit like skating in the 80s/90’s ( Cali not Sheffield )
I want to see how this chalk thing with Ronnie develops. Looks like they’ll ban it soon as everyones over it. Would have been hilarious if he’d played Robertson and then Murphy who probably complain about it the most. Everyone just accepted it a couple of years ago. Funny situation.
It would probably be banned already if it wasn’t Ronnie in particular who is the only one holding out. Apparently common for clubs to ban the old chalk.
