M & S have a strong trou game.
Any recommendations for water proof trousers? Tired of getting soaked and muddy walking
Rains. Can get them pretty much anywhere.
Daily woe at work
Yeah. My Rains jacket is actually amazing. Had it for a few years now and am not letting it go.
Just from what Iâm running at the moment: If you want waterproof trousers then Craghoppers Kiwi Pros are good. If youâre after overtrousers then Sprayway Mountain do the job . I have some Berghaus Paclite and some eBayâd Galvin Greens too, both quality kit. My Musto Br2 offshore trousers are great but probably a bit much for walking the dog or whatever . If itâs mud and not pouring rain youâre up for avoiding then have a look at some gaiters. Or you could just wear shorts - skinâs waterproof and breathable
Rains wonât make you look like a âwalkerâ.
Not compared to Craghoppers mate. Nobody ever bought Rains in TK Maxx.
It depends what youâre using them for. Popping down to the pub in some drizzle, when we were allowed to, Rains are probably ideal. Craghoppers might well make me look like a middle aged rambler. They are generally just covered in mud though. On a day to day basis I look like a preppy twat in almost nothing but Polo and J Crew, skating itâs pretty much the same tbh with a bit of Dime, Helas and Bronze chucked in. Sailing itâs all Musto and Gill with the odd bit of Henri Lloyd. Hiking and rough camping a mix Arcterycx, Mammut, North Face, Patagonia, Berghaus and the like. Got the Craghoppers for trashing in the mud on the bike. I only wear Nike Tennis Classics for skating in. ASICS runners for chilling. Timbs Euro hikers for a wander round the park. Lowe Gtx boots for proper outdoor stuff. I have slew of clothes for whatever activity Iâm up to. I just like stuff that technically works or is well designed- TK Max purchases aside
Not heard of rains.
Just googled.
Surprised skaters arenât rocking these.
Look kinda like Stone Island.
(Stone Island is an Italian clothes company, they make some really good stuff.)
Well they do look like something a Star Trek extra would wear.
Youâre not following the cool kids on Instagram.
These are right up their street.
To clarify and avoid all doubt: I am not a cool Instagram kid, Iâm a Dad approaching 40 who doesnât want to get the bottom of my trousers muddy on walks through the woods
Would not wear but those are actually sick.
They look better for keeping water in rather than out.
Thatâs what I figured. Tools for the job eh.
Maybe itâs time to invest in some jazzy wellies. Aigle and Le Chameau do some top notch ones.
