The TV Thread

Absolutely! The ending mega got me with tonight’s episode. Gutted to have to wait till Wednesday for the next one!

Finally watching Bodies.

Set in Whitechapel, London where it turns out that at some point in the next 29 years, they will build a replica of one of my favourite UK spots.

I’m hoping it appears soon!

I watched it all before Christmas and did wonder why they were filming at Leeds Uni.

Few years ago it came out that the couple running the local bigger post office were being done for fraud, stealing 50k or more. They were vilified, talk of the town for a while. Feel so bad for them as they must be involved in the scandal.
Absolutely disgusted that it took a TV programme to make the culprits and the government to take it seriously, because it’s been on the radar for so long, regularly brought up in the commons but it’s never been taken serious.
I know it won’t but I kinda hope that it opens the floodgates to people whistleblowing against larger corporations and entities that just take what they please.

Fancied a new series last night and tried starting some comedy thing called 1670… couldn’t get past first 15 mins of them setting the scene.

Someone should make a Hillsborough TV show

Watching Loudermilk per @BDF recommendation. Fucking hilarious, especially for anyone in recovery.

ITV also did one called Anne that came out this time last year that was very good.

ITV have done loads of underrated dramas on true story scandals in the last few years:
Anne, Alan Bates vs post office, Quiz & The Liar, the thief and his Canoe.

Aye to be fair I do remember that even though I didn’t/couldn’t watch. I just was being flippant really…

On a lighter note my missus has been referring to the IT company behind Horzion as jiu-jitsu, which I’ve been enjoying for a couple of days now

Watched it about a year ago by “other means” - Now it’s on Netflix it’s on my daily watch list. I’m a sucker for exactly that type of comedy

I just finished up on the itv/Disney factual drama about the police shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes which will be out later in in the year /early next. It’s already made the papers for being filmed and wonder how it’s going to be received by the public when it’s out.
I had to recreate the destruction of the 7/7 bombings . Pretty grim and won’t be easy for some to watch .

Ace, I was reading about that somewhere! Any idea when it’s out this year?

We were more concerned about HSE seeing this blatant bad working at height image . Absolute face palm on the ladder by props .

Anyway it’s all in the edit and post production so very early stages right now to call a full release date .

I’ve recently had some ‘Working At Height’ training for work. I wonder if the man who did it wants this image for the How Not To section of his presentation?

That paper sold a lot more copies due to incidents like this.

You don’t ever see them confining things to the inner pages to avoid scandal or consulting victims (as they clearly call out in text on the front page).

Fuck. The. Sun.
Always.

If Coogan can do a Jimmy Saville impression then a bit of jihad nostalgia should be a breeze

Only thread I wish I’d archived is the ‘London go bang’ one. Truly incredible to watch unfold.
