I’m a week behind but watched CTRL/ALT/ESC and it’s so good.
This season has been killer. Every episode has been another solid story.

Yep. Gutted that it’s finishing but this season has been too notch.
Still can’t get over how incredible the ‘Dead Line’ special was a few years ago. Proper fucked with everyone when they first saw it

Not to give anything away, but did CTRL/ALT/ESC remind anyone of Ghost Stories? That was an amazing play and an average film by Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman.
Need to peep the credits on that ep actually as it was probably written by Dyson.
This is a 10/10 Columbo.

Now this is a show that has a storyline , amazing characters and gives no fucks ! Many studios could learn from that and not make absolute disasters.

It’s becoming a bit of a pastiche of itself but I do like hearing Butcher calling Americans Michael Fabricants. I wonder what Americans watching make of that, it’s a no-no over there isn’t it?
Makes me think of one of the few episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm I’ve seen - ‘Beloved Aunt’.
When Cheryl’s aunt dies, the family asks Larry to write the obituary. But when it gets printed in the newspaper, an unfortunate typo lands Larry in the hot seat.

I’ve been watching The Boys but haven’t really got into it the way a lot of other people have. It’s fun, and the head exploding effects are gross, but not sure I’m that taken by it.
Gave Reacher a shot this week but that was very average. I’m a fan of the books and it’s maybe unfair to compare Tom Cruise to the guy who plays Reacher in this, but I actually preferred Cruise in the role - the Amazon version felt really low budget and I didn’t see him as Reacher, other than his size
Final episode of Inside N9 however was brilliant. Tim Key was hilarious and the whole thing worked really well I thought

Watched this episode again yesterday. Fucking 10/10
I picked up the first 6 series on eBay, cheap, just after we had this convo.
Haven’t watched any yet but am saving them for short night season.
