yellowjackets season 3 first 2 episodes out today!!

Is it Paramount + still?

We didn’t get around to S2 after the switch … is it worth it?

The kids story gets more and more fucked up

The adults story gets more and more fucked up and with added Elijah Wood

As a fan of awful things happening to people on TV I say yes

Still paramount (wasn’t it always?)

First season was on a Sky channel, maybe Atlantic?

When it moved we figured we’d wait til all episodes had dropped then binge it on a Paramount free trial. Reviews weren’t as good as hoped and it just kind of dropped further down our list til we forgot about it. S3 reviews suggest that may have been a mistake…

i think if you enjoyed the first season then you should enjoy the second. it’s not the same but it develops nicely. the kid’s story certainly stays in the same vein. the adults story gets a bit whacky but then it sort of always was.

excited to see how S3 turns out because i bet its going to be messed up

i really like how “horror-adjacent” films/TV have become really popular now

Might be tricky to cram into a trial now, maybe have to think about signing up and then cancelling straight after, I’m all paywall tv-ed out lately…

VPN and download from torrent site?

For a tenner or whatever I can just join up for a couple of months, save messing about with torrents…

Adolescence with Stephen Graham on Netflix is pretty incredible. Four episodes and each one is filmed in one take. Just finished episode three and it was quite amazing. The young lad in it is shockingly good and it’s his first role in anything.

Haven’t finished it yet but it’s like 10/10 tv.

Binged it with my wife last night, absolutely incredible! Acting, writing and camera work all amazing.

Growing up felt rough enough but growing up these days seems even more complicated.

Watched the first 2 episodes last night - it’s great! Watching more tonight. Interesting how almost the entire episode seems to be filmed in one continuous take, with the camera following the different characters through the corridors and streets without a cut

Only seen the first episode so far, loved it. The single camera worked brilliantly to create such an oppressive atmosphere. What an achievement though. How many run throughs must they have done before absolutely nothing went wrong? Also, what happened to Dushane? He’s absolutely fucking massive.

It’s amazing on many levels but I’ve been paying more attention to what I think is happening behind (and to) the camera.

They must be using drones and all manner of vehicle mounts, etc - then seamlessly switching.

Boiling Point was stressful enough, not sure I could deal with this one

Two camera man switching between each other throughout the episodes. Definitely using the odd drone here and there and attaching the cameras to them. The filming and choreography is amazing but the writing is unreal. The way they get across the message about what some teenage boys think of women is perfect. Four pretty amazing hours of television.

Superb viewing, the first and last episode are heartbreaking, being a father, I can’t imagine nor wanting to be on either end of that situation. Hats off to the kid in episode 3, such a powerful performance for a newcomer.

Appreciated some of the little hidden messages in the background of some scenes, abandoned lunch in the cafeteria or the knife-like tear in the wallpaper above the bed and the Lego figures on the bedside table one standing tan the other on its back.

Cor blimey just watched episode one

Just seen the first two episodes. Its really good stuff but I’m finding the single shot thing a bit exhausting to watch, my brains screaming for a cut scene.
