Beg to differ.
It’s one of those programs I will never watch. Simply because James Corden is in it.
I get that but I loved the show before he really became the douche he is these days.
Had high hopes for the special last night but it basically has one funny moment. It felt forced.
What was the moment.
Fairy Tale of New York because Bryn sings the girls part?
Nah Smithy’s first arrival when he comes through the front door singing with Gavlar. Only bit I really enjoyed tbh.
Actually I did enjoy the chat about the services!
Membury services are shite.
I lose my DAB radio signal in my car along that stretch of the M4.
Just watched it and it was funny.
It had it’s moments. Gavin & Stacey are basically just a boring old married couple now, spark has gone. The real older couples Mick, Pam, Dawn and Peter “Pete” Sutcliffe are more fun to be around. In general the people that surround Gavin & Stacey are all more fun and interesting. If the show was just about Gavin & Stacey it would be shit.
I like that the camping trip is never fully explained, like Partridge’s porn draw. Where as Ricky Gervais did the Office Christmas special to tie up loose ends this seems like it was just a set up for another new run, but the ‘cliff hanger’ is one that won’t really work by a long wait. Unless they are still on the door step, oddly looking a year older next Christmas or it’s the day of their wedding, maybe. People just talking about what happened as time has moved on would be boring as fuck.
I’m about half an hour in and it is absolute nuclear grade shit. There’s no jokes. What the fuck is this. I turned Jurassic Park off to watch this shit.
It got about two lols from me. Pete’s secret Santa & Smithy introducing his girlfriend.
Wurzel Gummidge better not disappoint.
Worzel gummidge was alright.
Not sure anyone over 40 will bother/get it.
Imma see what YouTube’s has on offer for the original series.
Watched it all (Gavin and Stacey). Fuck me. Its a stretch to call that gentle comedy. I don’t know what that was supposed to be. Dreadful, boring and ridiculous. And shit. Nothing happened.
I liked when I was a kid, but think that version is probably best left back there tbh.
New Lost in Space was good.
Never seen Gavin & Stacey but I know a couple of people who have worked with James Corden and they have only awful things to say about him.
I like to judge a show I’ve never seen and I can say that I judged this one quickly as “shite”.
I’ve been enjoying watching the witcher on Netflix. I’ve not played the games so any changes made for the tv show will go over my head.
Yeah, it’s good fun. People moaning that it’s not Game of Thrones but it’s not trying to be, it’s mostly just a light-hearted monster of the week type of thing.
The cynic in me can see how The Mandalorian series 2 is just going to be used as a tool for future computer games than the first one. ‘You must visit this planet but before you do, you have to complete this bounty to collect fuel points, ect’. Pretty much how the new film is, planet hoping to find things, to find the final level. The ending had no pay off at all.
The Mandalorian is more about Disney’s streaming channel rather than games/merchandise I think. Although I was reading that although it was a success in that loads of people joined just to watch it, they’re cancelling their subscriptions now that the series is over, nothing else on there they want to see.
Started watching what I thought would be a one off documentary on Netflix called The Vietnam War.
Turns out it is loads of episodes, some a couple of hours long.
It is very informative, each episode covering a timeframe of a year or so.
Hard to say that enjoyment is what I am getting from it but it is very detailed in its political information.
I find that there are so many parralels to be drawn with what’s been going on in the ME during my lifetime and America’s foreign policy.
Worth a watch.
Gavin & Stacey is the worst shit ever nd if you like it you are the worst kind of normie!
I’m kidding, I would never say normie seriously. I was away with friends and family and everyone loves it so I literally sat with my headphones on in a room where everyone was laughing at it.
It is mainly James Corden to be fair, he is just excruciating and every performance in the show is fake as hell. One saving grace I guess is Brydon’s character who he does really well.
