It’s on the list and looking forward to playing it!
I like point and clicks (or basically Broken Sword games I guess) but just don’t have the time anymore to try every combination in every location to solve a puzzle so that hint system sounds perfect.
What I like about them is that they’re the few games that get to be funny. You don’t get that much in other genres.
Yeah comedy in video games is super difficult - When the timing of the punchline is sort of under the control of the player rather than the writers/designers I find a lot of jokes never land the way they were intended. Those old LucasArts games were always so good at it.
“High On Life” and “Jazzpunk” are two of the only games I can think of in recent memory that aren’t click and point games that actually managed to translate proper jokes into gameplay that the player initiates. I wish more games would give it a go.
There’s a few funny deadpan moments in the MGS series but not enough to remember. I get my kicks by naming my character “my guy” or “my dude” and seeing how it changes the tone of the interactions.
I picked it up for Son’s PS4 a few posts back (Oct) and have only played it a couple of times since. Def use my Switch more so will probably get that and sell the other one when it does.
Had a go tonight and it’s really good - even if I’m not.
The maps are a lot bigger and the graphics are better in Session. The transition skating isn’t as good but I think the street skating is better. I’ve played both and prefer Session. I hope they manage to hire an animator though for future updates.
breath of the wild genuinely is one of the great games ever imo. my eldest son has played it through a few times - one of the times he went off on some mad tangent and basically became a professional horse trainer and had a business in the game and everything. you can take endless different paths and come up with so many different solutions to problems
it sounds like for tears of the kingdom they’ve taken that last point in bold and just run with it. one of the reviews i read it sounded like you can proper macguyver mad shit together to solve issues.
i think if you’re going to buy/play tears of the kingdom anyway you might then find breath of the wild a bit less open in comparison (even if it was ridiculously open for it’s time). personally i’d just lock myself in a room for a few weeks with BOTW and then play TOTK
After looking forward to the new Star Wars Jedi Survivor game coming out I am now absolutely gutted I’ve realised it isn’t coming out on Xbox One. I just can’t justify buying an Xbox series X or S with other expenses I have right now. Somebody call the wahmbulance cause I am devo’d! Proper first world problems haha
I want to get TOTK but haven’t finished BOTW yet. Mrs bought me a TOTK oled switch so I think I’m just going to replay through all of our current games before getting any new ones
