Video Games

I’m just playing through the first one and finding it very enjoyable

It’s very very good. Told a load of my work colleagues to play it before buying the new one. They’ve now finished it and started the new one and I’m stuck in limbo. Ffs haha

Just played about 3-4 hours of TOTK and its blowing my mind, the level with which you can interact/ manipulate the world is something else.

@hugo I’d say play BOTW first for sure though, its a direct sequel and from my brief experience so far it builds mechanically on everything set out in BOTW so will be a nice follow up.

These games don’t come around often so savour your BOTW experience and know you’ve got a whole other game afterwards. I envy you

this. 100% this. BOTW is in it’s own category of gaming that i’m assuming TOTK builds on. there’s a reason why it sits firmly in the top 3 or so of most top game lists.

I didn’t know that, I was waiting till it came out via Game Pass (which I think is later this year) but now it looks like that’s stuffed

Which means Darth Junior is going to be at me come xmas

Got TOTK downloading now, taking ages… Might order a pizza while I wait. So psyched. Barely ever play video games but BOTW is my jam.

I ordered it last night. Itching to get started on it.

Quick update since my post about TOTK fomo.

I’ve committed some more hours to BOTW, have been exploring, getting rupees, getting clothes to stop freezing and burning etc.

I’m thoroughly enjoying spending a few hours mooching about and collecting stuff right now.

I’ve done quite a few shrines to build up energy and hearts.

Not properly explored the cooking yet.

It’s crazy how interactive everything is. Yesterday I figured that ice arrows kill some beasts in Goron city with 1 shot. There must be loads of other tricks and tips like that.

Stoked to hear you’re enjoying it! Such a special experience and yeah I think such a big part of what makes them great is the pay off you get from experimenting

Been let loose in the world now on TOTK after the tutorial island/ first few story missions and am buzzing!! Will keep this thread spoiler free though

One thing that’s annoying is that I’ve forgotten how to do the special fighting moves like blocking into an attack or whatever, I guess I’ll get more practice when I engage with more enemies. Have just been shooting bomb arrows from a safe distance haha.

Yeh tbh that stuff makes it easier but isn’t essential. I never really bothered with it

I’m trying to make a skateboard or car in TOTK but I can’t figure out a steering method. Can make something that rolls along but can’t get it around corners

Haha i spent ages yesterday trying that too, made a board with 4 of those motor wheels and a kicker at the bottom of a hill but yeah couldnt get it to go straight for long enough to hit them ramp and whenever it hit a bit of uneven ground it just stopped!

Feel like you need to find a perfect, straight, flat slope. If you find one gimme a pin!

Not very far in, but I keep jumping off things thinking I have the glider.

Once you get to Hyrule push through the first couple main story missions and you get the glider and total freedom

Hahaha amazing. Yeah I was trying to build my own with a plank and wheels, looks like mine carts the way to go

Been breaking up Zelda sessions with Humanity on PS4

A proper mind bending puzzle game very similar to the old Lemmings games, made by a Japanese web developer/ artist and an OG Sega employee. A free demo available to PlayStation store too!!

If you enjoy both Warhammer 40k and old school FPS then Boltgun is for you.
Extremely fun!

I do like Warhammer but never played. They are great fun to paint though.
